How to Choose the Right Shapewear Size
The right size is the difference between shapewear you forget you're wearing and shapewear that rolls down, pinches or shows lines. Brazilian brands like Lupo and Liz size by weight and height, not by your usual dress size, so it's worth checking before you order.
1. Start with your weight
Most of our Lupo shorts, bermudas and bodysuits follow this chart:
| Size | Weight | Height |
| S | 40–47 kg | 1.50–1.60 m |
| M | 48–57 kg | 1.55–1.65 m |
| L | 58–66 kg | 1.65–1.75 m |
| XL | 67–77 kg | 1.65–1.80 m |
| XXL | 78–90 kg | 1.65–1.80 m |
Some pieces use their own chart (for example the waist corset and the plus-size shorts), so always check the table on the product page.
2. When to go one size up
- You're between two sizes.
- You'll wear it for many hours, such as at a wedding or a long workday.
- You're choosing a firm-control piece (our "Compression Firm" products).
- You're taller than the height range for your weight.
3. Signs the size is wrong
- Too small: the waistband rolls down, the legs dig in, or you feel it pressing when you sit.
- Too big: it wrinkles under clothes or doesn't smooth the tummy.
4. Plus sizes
If you're XL or above, look at our plus size shapewear, made for XL to XXXL.
Still not sure?
