What Is Lupo Emana Shapewear and How Is It Different?
You'll see "Emana" on some Lupo shapewear. It's the name of a special yarn used in the fabric, and it's one of the reasons these pieces cost a little more. Here's what it is and what to expect.
What is Emana?
Emana® is a polyamide yarn developed in Brazil by the chemical group Solvay. The yarn contains bioactive minerals. According to the manufacturer and Lupo, these reflect the body's heat back to the skin as far infrared, which they say can improve skin elasticity and help improve the look of cellulite with regular wear.
What can you realistically expect?
- Shaping first. An Emana piece shapes the tummy, waist and thighs just like other Lupo shapewear.
- Skin benefits are gradual. Lupo describes the effect on the look of cellulite as something that comes with regular wear over weeks, not overnight.
- It's not a treatment. Emana shapewear doesn't remove cellulite or fat, and results vary from person to person.
